I haven't used WXTide32 yet, but this site was given to me in order to know it. I work with tides, from data acquisition, tide gauge station installation, to its products, in Brazilian Navy.

Love your page and the how to's. I did the Cape Cod to S.America in a 35 Alberg back in 1982-1985.
Much of the equipment is what I had aboard, I loved the cold Machine tho it did blow the power pack on a 35 ft sea to St Thomas from Beaufort N.C. I didnt have another problem after they sent the replacement. I built a wind generator in St Thomas to suppl
the elect. needs, had a 6 ' x 31/2"x 3/4 inch Redwood blade I made there. It got noisy after 15Knots of wind but produced a steady 18 amps at that wind. I just turned it off while we were in the cockpit, we were the only ones tru the Carribean that made i
e cubes!! Guess were all showed up at happy hour..

Thank you
I will enjoy using WXtide32

What I really like about your program is the ability to look at the tides for locations I will be visiting in the future. I don't know your location, or whether you have so many opportunities to sail with other people that you booked solid ... however, i
you're in the San Francisco Bay area, send me e-mail, and I'd like to take you sailing on the Bay. I don't own a boat, but I charter from several clubs, and teach at several. I'm impressed with the technical aspect of the program. I've tried to get am
itious and learn Java, C++, etc., but I'm so close to retiring that I just don't have the motivation.

re: WXTide32
Just wanted to say THANKS for your awsome program. I am neither a boater or a fisher - just a dog-walker-on-the-beach (yes I pick up the do-do). We check the tides before we decide which walk to take.
I have customized my colours to match my desktop (one MUST be cooridinated!haha). I also refer to it often for sunset info. Tide info is so hard to find for someone who can't justify buying the charts. Even though we live on the West coast, our weather ch
nnel seems to think the moon phases are more important to people and only shows tides once or twice an hour.
I have passed the info to a few boating types and they are thrilled! May even earn me a ride this summer. I also posted your site on a coastal birding site. Lots of shore birds feed when the tide is going out.
Thanks again.

Thanks for the great tide program... I have used many store-bought tide programs that were not as good as your free version. I hope you will keep developing/updating it.
I fly gliders (hang gliders)... and I hail from Cape Cod (Falmouth), now live in seacoast New Hampshire... I can 'appreciate' what you folks are doing... maximizing temporary spatial participation while minimizing the wake.
Take care, hope to see you in Portsmouth, NH someday.

I have used WXtides for a couple of years, here in the Northwest USA. In our 24' Buccanneer tides and currents are sometimes more important than wind as we get tidal currents of +- 2 knots in many places and up to 8 - 10 in the various narrows. WXtides
as proved very reliable and easy to use. When I have gone against it for "local knowledge" I have paid the price.

Really great stuff!!
Unfortunately, my home sailing area is the Baltic Sea, so that the moments for using your software are very rare. Think I´ll have to change my location ?!

What a great site! What a great tide program! I am a fishing guide on the Florida Gulf Coast and rely on the tide information daily. I find it very accurate in my area which is the west central Gulf coast. Especially noteworthy is the accuracy of the p
edictions along the St. Martins estuary in the inshore tidal creeks. Thanks for making it available to download.

I live in Scituate, MA., 300 feet from the ocean. Your program is a very valuable resource for me. I use the Palm V portable organizer and refer to the program all of the time.
The last time I updated, all of the tide and current values were modified to be preceeded by the Euro currency symbol. Any fixes in the works?

You were just at my desk and mentioned the tide prediction program enclosed here. Wow! what a kewl program. I'll put it to good use when I return to Honduras since it is difficult to obtain this info while sailing there. The pictures will be ready soon

Keep sailing and stay happy.

Nice site. About WXtide32. I used and compared it a lot of places. Specially in the far east. I'm sorry to say, but it isn't always right. And then I mean, not even close to what it should be. However, after I make a comparison when I'm on a other locatio
and it appears to be close to reallity then I use it very often as the program is very easy accessible and fun to work with.
Good luck and 'goeie stoom'as we dutch sailors say.regards, John Bruinsma

After having tested your WXTide on our ice-breaker this past winter in the Gulf of St. Lawrence I am pleased to say that we have integrated the program on a few of the other ships with the Canadian Coast Guard and Fisheries and Oceans Canada. Thank you fo

P.S. it works fine with Windows 98.

Mike;
I'm working on an application to locate specific harbors. I'd like to incorporate WXTide32, so that when a particular harbor is selected the user could then call up WXTide32 to open and display the closest station to that harbor location, without having t
manually select that particular display.
Two and a half questions:
Can this be done?
Is the code accessible through a .dll?
Do you have some fee price so I can use your app within my own?

Wxtide program is THE best I've seen. Congratulations and many thanks. I'll use it

I'm having a few problems but i'll get back when i'm sure it's not a loose screw behind the keyboard.

First I would like to thank you for this great program. You may like to know how it is being used and should be proud of this first reason.
1. I am a Police Officer assigned to a Marine unit on Long Island, New York. I found this program to be extreemly helpful due to our extensive operations in the shallow waters of the Great South Bay of Long Island. After we were forced to navigate the dan
erous Moriches Inlet during the TWA flight 800 recovery for 4 months guessing the tides we will now be ready to have one less thing to worry about next time.
2. Secondly, I use the program along with a plotting program to monitor daily progress in my small shellfish business.
These two marine oriented areas of my life are greatly assisted by your program so thank you once again.

I liked all the British Columbia stations, since I
fish Rivers Inlet, and you can't drive there!
I like the price...all tidal information should be
free. This is safety information for all mariners. No, No I don't use this program for absolute reference, just as a "I'm glad I know".

Dear sir,
I was having problem of opening WXTide32 after I have successfully downloaded the file.
Anyway do you have marine tide table for Malaysian water ? I'm from Malaysia and always go fishing at the west coast of Malaysia and sometimes the east coast too . Just wondering if with WXTide32 ... will it help for me to plan for fishing trip ? Basic
lly I just need a low & high tide of Malaysian waters & it will be better if lunar / moon phrase is available.
Ps: Even though I haven't got the chance to open the WXTide32 yet but I am excited to try it out as a reference for marine water tide table.
Thanks & Best Regards
Edward Wong.

Thanks for all the good work you've done porting Xtide to Win 95. I love it and will use it regularly to fish out of my home port (Port Macquarie, Australia).
I'm one of the owners of Downunder Lures, a fishing lure manufacturing company.
One question: When I print the WXTide32 graph it comes out very dark and compressed on the page. Can the program be tweaked to fit the graph to an A4 page?
Thanks again.
